The amazing Guthrie legacy is now in its third generation and the tradition is being continued in a woman's voice thanks to Sarah Lee. Her grandfather is pretty much the most revered figure in folk music and her dad, Arlo, has never let us forget how much fun it was to grow up as hippies. 

Many of us first saw and heard Sarah Lee when as a teenager she toured in and out of the country as a member of her dad's band. She soon started her solo career and eventually teamed up with guitarist Johnny Irion who became her husband. She has recorded several acclaimed albums with producers such as Wilco's Jeff Tweedy. She also took some time to raise a family. And she is now the director of The Guthrie Center in Great Barrington, MA which is located in the church that as the song goes was the home of Alice of Alice's Restaurant.

So, we've gotten what we want. The Guthrie legacy continues in its third generation.
